PE Teaching
At First for Sports we have the ability to offer a comprehensive solution to PPA cover and PE Teaching. With education centres constantly changing and demanding more ‘ non-contact time’ between teaching staff and children, we can offer the support required to aid your school in this area. Not only does this ensure that physical education is professionally delivered to the students, but will also, potentially, be more financially beneficial to your schools budget and is looked upon very favourably in Ofsted reports.
With the introduction of Planning, Preparation and Assessment (PPA) in 2005, this has encouraged schools to invite First For Sports to work alongside them, to not only meet the curriculum demands, but also introduce the students to many more sports over and above those which are currently delivered in mainstream school PE. This offers the students a much greater choice and opportunity to develop their own physical and mental abilities. First For Sports has the reputation of being highly regarded as one of the leading facilitators in this field.
All First for Sports coaches follow a carefully designed lesson plan in line with current legislation and curriculum. Naturally they are all CRB checked, First Aid Trained and have attended Safeguarding child protection training. We also take very seriously the areas of behaviour management and confidentiality, signing agreements with schools before starting any work on site. We aim to work closely and consult with the senior management team to forge, develop and continue a long term relationship.
First For Sports philosophy is to instil life skills into the children via the professional delivery of sports and games with a large emphasis on behaviour management, attitudes, teamwork, respect, confidence and most importantly fun. It is proven that if children develop confidence on the sports field this readily transfers into the classroom and their on-going academic success.
